Merlin of Monmouth \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Elder Wizard<\/h2>\n

The right hand of Mallory and a wizard whose very being can shape the face of Grimmvale. He is the sole survivor of the previous King\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Court, and although was skeptical of Mallory when she first took reign, he now loyally submits himself to her. Merlin is the soothsayer and prophet of Mallory, and is able to predict all dangers posed to her, and advise what threats are worth her attention, and which ones he may easily dispose of himself.<\/p>\n

Merlin served the King of Grimmvale before Mallory\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s arrival in the realm. He watched in amazement as the dark woman strode into his court, and eviscerated its inhabitants in a blink, Merlin only surviving her attack as he was swift to shield himself, having a moment of prescience as she entered the castle. Those around him were little more than ash, and he knew that he would join them if he resisted. Instead, seeing it as his sole means of survival, he dedicated himself to her as her court mage, a means that might legitimize her rule and give her access to his vast breadth of knowledge and foresight over the land of Grimmvale.<\/p>\n

That was years ago, and though he was first skeptical of her at first, Merlin now feels himself entirely dedicated to the Dark Queen, as if a spell had been cast over him. Mallory is the most powerful being in the land, though he is second behind her, enforcing her will where he can; dealing with the less troublesome matters until they become things he can no longer ignore and must seek her help.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
