Death's Grasp \u2013 Wraith of Possession<\/h2>\n

A wraith whose rage has been stirred in the desecration of Limlight\u2019s graveyard. It has begun to possess guardsmen and soldiers throughout the village, adding to the existing list of threats baring down on the few defenders that remain in the settlement. Each victim it possesses is used to their full extent, until their legs or arms have become completely shattered and unusable. Until then, whatever spears may pierce their hearts or swords may sever their heads are otherwise useless.<\/p>\n

Limlight\u2019s graveyard is older than the Kingdom of Belfrie, though a large swathe of the tombs and graves dug there are at the fault of its rebellion. There lays thousands of soldiers who perished at the battle here over three centuries past, when the fires of the Belfrie rebellion burned across the Draksborne Empire. This wraith is one of many disturbed souls who has wandered the Spirit Plains since their death, for three hundred years. Yet in the current outbreak in the village, its resting place has been desecrated, and the wraith enraged in turn.<\/p>\n

Now it is beginning to unleash its misplaced vengeance upon the soldiers, guardsmen and civilians of Limlight who are desperately trying to survive the Blight that is ravaging their home. Anyone who becomes its victim is used until they are utterly spent, and their body is no longer useful in their quest for vengeance. Alongside the plague that is currently tearing through the populace, this is a worrisome development.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The set<\/span><\/p>\n

Limlight was a village mostly spared by the Dragonblight outbreak two years prior. Now it has become the epicentre of the latest outbreak, trapped in an arcane quarantine. The clock is ticking until all within are infected, or wiped out by the kingdom\u2019s contingency and containment plans. A squad of elite knights and paladins now enter, volunteering their lives to try end the outbreak and purge the plague.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The campaign<\/span><\/p>\n

In The Dire End, the party is trapped within the arcane quarantine zone of Limlight Village. The village is a victim of a new strain of Dragonblight, which has erupted only recently. It was very swiftly quarantined by arcane mages of the kingdom of Draksborne, who are now threatening that the entire quarantine zone will be purged in three days, if those inside are not able to end the plague themselves. With the hourglass quickly emptying, the party will need to join forces with a group of volunteers who have entered the quarantine, in a bid to eradicate the infestation and save the lives of hundreds of survivors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
