Frederik Vahlen \u2013 Professor of Progress (Ascended Form)<\/h2>\n

Frederik, having felt there was no other way, ingested the Dragonblight strain he had altered, hoping to ascend to some sort of divine form similar to Hendrak himself. The risk he took was calculated, but it has not paid off. Instead he is bound in a grotesque form that is constant agony for him, stuck as a passenger in his own mutated body as something else steers it. Now he watches helplessly as he realises the folly of his own ways, and the undoing of his life\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

With his macabre research uncovered, Frederik fled deeper into the vaults beneath Noxas Block into his own personal sanctuaries. There, feeling himself cornered and the clock ticking, he ingested raw flesh infected with the ascendant Dragonblight strain he had created. It was his hope that if it could ascend a simple rat to a creature like the Konnigsratte, it might ascend him to some sort of higher being to rival Hendrak and finalize his plan. His calculated risk, however, has not paid off. Instead he is left as little more than a monstrosity, constant agony tearing across his body. Whilst he has been able to enact his plan with the help of this strain, his body is no longer his own.<\/p>\n

He is now a passenger in his own body, watching in horror as the grotesque beast he has become threatens to unravel the fabric of the school he holds dear, and plunge the land into plague-stricken chaos once again. There is naught more he can do now, than accept whatever fate befalls him after this, and pray for atonement in his final hours, however they might be spent.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The set<\/span><\/p>\n

The University of Canos is one of the oldest and most prestigious arcane institutions on the continent of Tharador. It is a vessel for transforming raw, unrefined magic-users into elite mages, either of the court or lab, whilst some paths also exist for those who intend to use magic in creative pursuits. It is currently rebuilding itself, two years after Dragonblight tore it down. Whilst campus life continues in a strange, quiet peace, something sinister stirs within. Students continue to go missing, and the staff are turning to desperate measures to find out why.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The campaign<\/span><\/p>\n

In The Arcane University the party must enter the University of Canos undercover as students, investigating a series of mysterious disappearances with six students currently missing in the school. Only her and one other investigating staff member are aware of their status, and the party will have to go through all the highs and lows of life at the Arcane University to immerse themselves in their roles, and uncover what has happened to the missing students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
