Andrek Strongarm \u2013 Hexhunter Gladiator<\/h2>\n

A hexhunter who was trapped in Draksborne during the time of the Dragonblight. Through grit, luck and his training, he endured, slaying many of the plaguefiends in those months. Yet his path has not ended with the plague, and he remains in the south to aid the kingdom in rebuilding, earning coin at the Crucible to do so.<\/p>\n

Raised like most Hexhunters, through rigorous training from childhood in Tharador\u2019s harsh northlands. Andrek has long wandered the continent providing his services as a Hexhunter to those in need. He is still unsure if it was fate or simple misfortune that saw him in Draksborne in the time when Dragonblight gripped the kingdom. He was trapped, the kingdom cordoned off by its neighbours while pandemonium gripped its towns and cities. Andrek was amongst it for months.<\/p>\n

No longer was his monster-slaying services rendered for coin, but for his own survival. In the town of Etmen he survived the worst of the disease’s onslaught, able to create a small sanctuary for survivors with the help of a local sorcerer and the town\u2019s militia. Owing to his training and senses, he was able to quickly discern infected individuals and deal with them in the appropriate manner, slaying them in mercy and throwing their corpses on a pyre.<\/p>\n

When the disease finally came to an end following the fall of Hendrak, Andrek had found a sense of responsibility to the people of Etmen, and Draksborne at large. The town he had defended was beyond recognition from when he had arrived, and it would take them years to rebuild. Thus, he has searched for a way to find them, for his trade is monster slaying, not carpentry. The only way he could help them now was to raise coin, and nearby over the border in Belfrie, the Crucible offered him a chance to do this, with consistent battles offered for high pay.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The set<\/span><\/p>\n

The Crucible of Belfrie is a well known secret amongst the elite of Tharador\u2019s nobility and high society. A bloody arena hidden in the mountains and run by the Belfrian Merchant League. It is currently undergoing its yearly tournament, with plenty of fresh blood to be spilt on the sand, and imposing monsters from across the continent to be battled. Though beneath the gold and glory, a nefarious conspiracy is beginning to stir.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The campaign<\/span><\/p>\n

In Dire Tidings Pt I the party each receives a mysterious letter summoning them to the city of Velandria. There they are brought to the Crucible through a teleportation circle, finding they have been chosen by a mysterious sponsor to form a team for the latest tournament. Blood will be traded for gold as they fight their way to the championship of the arena, uncovering a dastardly plot as their battles progress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
