Saratha the Watchful \u2013 Priestess of the Swamp<\/h2>\n

A wisewoman and wife to Orathin, Saratha convenes with the swamp itself to understand its woes, of which there are many in the current age. Saratha, however, is more receptive to the whispers of the Irinaxi Drow than her husband, and has clandestinely consorted with their agents who promise her and her people support in ridding Lo Fuin of the outsiders, so long as the Swamp Dwellers provide aid in destroying the Glanbelite Drow in return.<\/p>\n

Saratha is the wisewoman of her village, seen as a sage who can convene with the Swamp. Through this, she can hear its woes, but also take note of any other creatures within the Swamps bounds, even if they are hundreds of miles away. The Swamp will tell her. This has been used by her for centuries to track creatures and interlopers through Lo Fuin\u2019s surface, either to hunt them, or avoid them.<\/p>\n

It is this particular ability that has placed Sara in the eyes of Irinax, whose servants seek to win her as an ally so her powers might be used later in the war against their Glanbelite foes. For now, they offer to Saratha and her husband Orathin, their services to rid Lo Fuin of the foreign invaders in Zander\u2019s Peril. Thereafter, the pair and the villagers who follow them will pledge loyalty to the city of Iriksha, and bring about what they hope is the final blow against the Glanbelite Drow of Hirika.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The set<\/span><\/p>\n

The Drow of Lo Fuin have long been a secluded people, owing to the deadly nature of their homeland. In recent years, the Glanbelite Moon Drow have open limited contact with outsiders in the expeditionary outpost of Zander\u2019s Peril, but that has suddenly ceased. A schism is brewing within the ranks of the Moon Drow, and they suspect outside influence to be the cause, be it the Overworlders, or their Irinaxi Spider kin. Either way, they are now at each other\u2019s throats, and peace is carefully balanced on a knife\u2019s edge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The campaign<\/span><\/p>\n

In Schism of the Drow the party undertakes a quest that no other adventurers at Zander\u2019s Peril dare: to escort a conjurer through the deathly swamps of Lo Fuin to the Glanbelite Drow city of Hirika. Whilst the journey itself is seen as nigh-suicidal with the friendly Drow no longer tending the route, finding entry to the city may be almost as difficult. If the party does manage to make it inside, they will find that tensions within the ranks of the Glanbelite Drow are bubbling, and the fabric of their once-peaceful society is beginning to unravel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
