Depth Dismemberer \u2013 Subterranean Horror<\/h2>\n

Native to Lo Fuin, the Depth Dismemberer\u2019s, despite their names, are encountered both above and below ground. Whilst their preferred hunting grounds are below the surface, owing to the dim lighting that allows them to easily ambush their prey, they will also prowl the swamp above when their hunts below are proving unfruitful. They are opportunist attackers, and will generally focus on prey who they deem to be off guard or distracted, for they are exceptionally quick at a short distance, but their gangly form means they cannot pursue long past their initial burst of speed.<\/p>\n

Members of the World Explorers & Hunters League have come to learn their vision is mostly based on movement, and that the creatures can be easily distracted by illusions or something as simple as a rock throw. If one is approaching an area and is not aware of their presence, freezing like a statue until it disperses can be the best course of action to avoid a fight. If fighting is the only option, members are advised to do so with extreme caution as the creature\u2019s blades can easily pierce through plate and shatter shields. The creature is most deadly when given a chance to charge, so sticking close against its feet is the best way to ensure they do not become an easy target.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The set<\/span><\/p>\n

The Drow of Lo Fuin have long been a secluded people, owing to the deadly nature of their homeland. In recent years, the Glanbelite Moon Drow have open limited contact with outsiders in the expeditionary outpost of Zander\u2019s Peril, but that has suddenly ceased. A schism is brewing within the ranks of the Moon Drow, and they suspect outside influence to be the cause, be it the Overworlders, or their Irinaxi Spider kin. Either way, they are now at each other\u2019s throats, and peace is carefully balanced on a knife\u2019s edge.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The campaign<\/span><\/p>\n

In Schism of the Drow the party undertakes a quest that no other adventurers at Zander\u2019s Peril dare: to escort a conjurer through the deathly swamps of Lo Fuin to the Glanbelite Drow city of Hirika. Whilst the journey itself is seen as nigh-suicidal with the friendly Drow no longer tending the route, finding entry to the city may be almost as difficult. If the party does manage to make it inside, they will find that tensions within the ranks of the Glanbelite Drow are bubbling, and the fabric of their once-peaceful society is beginning to unravel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
