Pepitos the Manic \u2013 Professor of the Arcane<\/h2>\n

Pepitos met Seldina when they were both students at the University of Ardris. They recognised one another as children of Grans, a small and tightly knit homeland, and in the foreign land of Belfrie found a bond stronger than either expected. Friendship became romance, then marriage, and for a time the whimsical transmutation professor lived the life he had always hoped magic might grant him.<\/p>\n

Love does not come without loss. Seldina contracted an incurable illness only a year after Pepitos received his esteemed position at the university, and the disease claimed her a year later. Pepitos lost his mind on the same day he lost her, though he never stopped teaching. His knowledge remains unrivalled and his lessons remain dutiful, but grief has worn strange paths through the once sharp-witted professor. He still believes she may return\u2014not through necromancy or any dark art, but through a wish made true.<\/p>\n

That hope brought Pepitos to the Bastion of the Wandering Mage. He believes some divine architect must stand behind the castle\u2019s shifting halls and impossible machinations, and he entered of his own accord to find the answer. He will not leave until the Bastion reveals what he seeks, no matter how long the search takes or what it costs him. Either the castle will give him his answer, or it will claim his life before he can reunite with Seldina.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
