Gintharax – Adult Silver Dragon

Gintharax is a silver dragon who lived during the First Era, and an age-old friend of the Wandering Mage. It does not know Aaron Drafthold’s true identity, yet Aaron knows intimate details of Gintharax’s life beyond anything the scholars of Tharador have uncovered. Gintharax has therefore accepted that he may be a reincarnation of an elder creature—or a Beremeni from the Age of Creation—gifted with a remembered life.

For the sake of his own bargain, Gintharax agreed to become one of the final challenges in Aaron’s gauntlet. The dragon cannot bring its full power to bear on the adventurers who brave the Bastion, but it can certainly act as though it does. Those who stand before it must face almost certain death and endure the fear of a dragon if they are to prove themselves worthy.

Gintharax knows that most who face him will fall. Even so, he promises them a swift rebirth into a better life—or a place in the halls of Syelden. To survive his trial is an achievement; to meet it without flinching may be the true test Aaron’s ancient friend came to judge.
