Rumpelstiltskin – The Devil’s Dealer

The only creature of Grimmvale which Mallory herself seems to fear. He is known only to a select few in Grimmvale, those of whom theorise he holds the key to her power and her reign over the land. Whilst some have tried to seek him out, none have returned, for his deals and devilry are intended for those he seeks himself, and he seldom deals with any who already know him by name.

A creature of nefarious nature, though guised by his charm and wit. Rumpelstiltskin is the only creature which the Dark Queen Mallory fears. His existence is known to few, and it seems that to him, Grimmvale is a playground, where he constantly tips the odds in favour of what seems most entertaining to him at the time. It is rumoured that the Dark Queen gained her powers from the Devil Dealer, who had grown bored with the incumbent ruling king, wishing to see dark changes through the land. Regardless, his power is on a level that rivals a divine, able to grant and remove the powers of others as well.

His method of madness is done entirely through contracts, worded agreements and blood pacts. Yet he never asks a price, at the time. His payment is always determined later, usually in the form of that which his clients consider most dear. Often items they did not possess before their deal was made. Mallory fears what this might be when the time comes for her, and has spent much time planning a way to counter him, though fears it may be in vain.
